Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering broadly involving electricity, electromagnetism and electronics is essential in modern human life and industries. The present day academic activities of electrical engineering are very broad with this due reason. The electrical engineering department at Ganga Memorial College of Polytechnic has specialized faculties. The academic and research activities in the department focus on the frontier areas of electrical engineering such as power quality studies, distributed generation, inverter design, control strategies for complex systems.

Electronics Engineering

Electronics Engineers Design, develop and test electronic systems, devices and equipment. Examples of these systems include computer components, GPS systems, communication systems, antennas, satellite transponders, electronics guidance system for aircrafts, electronic control for missiles, signal processing based biomedical instruments, entertainment electronics and home applications , VLSI and ULSI chips and many more. There are several specializations within Electronics Engineering that include Automatic Controls, Digital Systems (Computer Systems), Electromagnetics, Electronics, Semiconductor Devices, Communication and Signal Processing. The Department of Electronics Engineering at Ganga Memorial College of Polytechnic covers a host of subjects inclusive of electronic circuits, microprocessors, digital electronic instrumentation, analytical instrumentation and many more. The department has laboratories catering to all the subjects of studies. Faculty members of the department are working in different specializations under the groups: Communication engineering, VLSI and embedded systems.

Civil Engineering.

Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. The Department of Civil Engineering of Ganga memorial College of polytechnic has major missions listed below. Relevance to industry and society Contribution to sustainable development.

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is often called the mother of all engineering. It covers a host of subjects: properties of materials, structural design, material processing, manufacturing, heat engines, refrigeration and air conditioning, industrial management, robotics and much more. The Mechanical Engineering Department of Ganga Memorial College of Polytechnic, is known for research in most of these fields. The main foci of research are on mechanical vibration, CAD/CAM, precision engineering, Metal forming, manufacturing, CFD, Industrial refrigeration and Cryogenics. The academic programmes of the department reflect not only the core areas of Mechanical Engineer but also the research specialization of the faculty. Vision To provide the society and industry with Mechanical Engineers having superior technical capability and ethical responsibility. To become the best mechanical engineering department in the country for research & development in the emerging areas. Mission To nurture its students (B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D.) with fundamentals of the subject and an up-to-date technological skill to meet regional as well as national priorities in higher education for industrial application. The program also strives to enhance learning skill with research capability, quality research and scholarly activities to be integrated with teaching. Academic Objectives To provide excellent preparation for a career in mechanical engineering and prepares students for a career at the forefront of technology. To train students in the methods of engineering science and in the application of these methods to conceive, organize and carry out the design of engineering systems. To provide opportunity for students to work as part of teams on multidisciplinary projects. To provide students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to prepare them for higher studies.

Computer Science and Engineering

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is an academic program at many universities that comprises scientific and engineering aspects of computing. Because of the high demand for Computer science and technology in the industry, Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering course has grown in popularity, allowing students to work as Systems Analysts, Web Developers, Finance Programmers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, Game Developers and other roles.

Ganga Memorial College of Polytechnic is proposed and identified at Kharuara, Harnaut, Dist.- Nalanda (BIHAR). It’s aim is to provide industry relevant education and training to its students with well crafted practical training Programme for the students in different semester of the courses.
